Pregnancy Yoga Classes
Yoga is a wonderful way to connect to and support the extraordinary changes that transpire as you support a new life. At the Yoga Institute we offer a pre-natal yoga program dedicated to supporting your wellbeing during pregnancy and beyond.
Classes are gentle, breath focused and designed to prepare you physically and emotionally for your journey to motherhood.
At class you will learn:
- how to optimise your health and wellbeing with a breath centred practice
- learn asana sequences to support good posture, build strength and relieve physical tension
- mindfulness – yoga tools to promote self care and restore balance
- breath and relaxation techniques to support your emotional wellbeing and preparing for birth.
Classes are small and offer personalised care and a nurturing environment. Our teachers are highly trained and experienced in working with prenatal clients and have first hand personal experience in practicing yoga during pregnancy.
- Monday 6:00pm – 7:15pm
- Casual attendance $25
- 6 class pass $135 (valid for 2 months)
- 10 class card $198 (valid for 3months)

Lisa’s experience in Yoga began in 1995, immediately she was excited by the extent of what Yoga offered her personally and to others. Her understanding and personal practice has since been strongly influenced by the teachings as translated by Sri T Krishnamacharya. She is committed to ongoing studies and has been personally guided by a number of brilliant teachers, including Saraswati Vasudevan (YogaVahni) Michael de Manincor (The Yoga Institute), Dr Ganesh Mohan (Svastha Yoga) and AG and Indra Mohan (Svastha Yoga). She completed an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training (The Yoga Institute), has specialist training in Pre and Post-natal yoga (KYM and IYTA). Currently completing Yoga Therapy training with Dr Ganesh Mohan (Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda).
Lisa values individuality and working with students to facilitate a better understanding of their unique and changing needs to enable good health and a fulfilling life. Originally a Registered Nurse, working with neonates, Lisa has also completed a Masters of Psychology (Counselling). Lisa lives with her husband and three children. She is currently based at The Yoga Institute (Sydney) / Cammeray Yoga where she is available for Private consultations, Yoga mentoring and Yoga classes.

Brigette has studied, practiced and taught prenatal classes and loves working with clients to access the therapeutic benefits of yoga. ‘Pregnancy is a unique time in our lives when many changes transpire at a mind and body level. Taking the time to tune into these changes and work with them in a regular yoga practice is a great way to maintain optimal health and nurture both you and your baby. Personally I found yoga was a powerful way to be mindful of self care as pregnancy progressed, restore physically, maintain emotional balance and build confidence on the journey to becoming a parent.’
